Made to control the game. With the release of the Adidas Dame 3 in 2017 for Portland Trailblazer’s point-guard Damian Lillard we chose a visual approach which connected the technical aspects of the shoe to the story of the player himself. To highlight the heavily visual storytelling aspect of the campaign, we used ballpoint pen illustrations as a device to connect the two messages of his past and present history with the technical aspects of the shoe.  

From his upbringing in Oakland to his rise to stardom in the NBA, homages to the street ball roots where he grew as an athlete and first learned to love the game can be seen here paired with visuals metaphors to the lightweight nature of the shoe, durable outer-sole, and the versatility for dynamic play. Whether you’re breaking to the basket or pulling up from deep, the Dame 3 allows you to take agile command of the court with every step.
